In 1993, A Man Called Adam's Sally Rodgers and Steve Jones (3) left label Big Life and went into partnership with long time friend and founder of the design company The Unknown (20) (aka Steve 'Jaffa' Gribbin), to form the company Other Records Ltd. and its label Other.

Also affiliated is the studio Other, Gospel Oak, London.

Whilst the label stopped its main activities in 1999, a couple of AMCA projects have been released since then, including the "Collected Works (2)" (2010-2011) releases, and ones surrounding the album "13312374" (2019).
