The former CBS Music renamed on 1 January 1991 as a publishing arm for Sony Music Entertainment. In December 1995, label was merged with SMP and renamed Sony / ATV Music Publishing. By then, the company had become the second largest music publisher in the world. On February 10, 2021, Sony/ATV was rebranded back as Sony Music Publishing.
