Opened in 1992, based in Sydney, Payless Entertainment Pty Ltd has become Australia's leading distributor of budget CDs & DVDs.
In July 2006, Payless was purchased by the publicly listed Destra Corporation (DES), thus becoming part of Australia's largest independent music, visual and theatrical company.
In September 2008, a management buyout was arranged between Destra & key employees of Payless, once again giving Payless the freedom private ownership allows.
