An eventual Philippines licensee of EMI. Formerly founded in 1977 by artist as Canary (5), it was restructured in 1978 as OctoArts International. In 1995 it began EMI distribution and became OctoArts EMI (Also releasing as OctoArts Films). Again restructured in 2002 it became label.
After EMI withdrawal from the South-East Asia market in 2008, it became a joint venture between EMI and Piper Paper Corporation as PolyEast Records, Inc.. It then became independent of EMI in 2012.
