From the beginnings of Detroit techno and house to the latest electro, soul and hip-hop, Submerge is one of the world's hubs for electronic music.
Submerge was founded in 1992 by Mad Mike Banks and Christa Robinson. Aside from being a "walk-in" record shop in Detroit, Submerge is also the manufacturing and distribution section for various Detroit techno labels including Submerge Recordings, KMS, [L=Fragile Records], Underground Resistance, Electrofunk Records, Red Planet amongst others.
