Growing out of the club of the same name in Bristol, Cup Of Tea Records released tracks of slo-mo beat excursions and weirdelic sound collages between 1995 and 1999. The label, founded by Pip Diaz, started with the release of release, remixed by Portishead. Cup of Tea also provided Bristol with club DJ's and bands, putting on everything from jungle to hip hop, from jazz-funk to dub.
