Lazy Dog was founded in the late '80s by Babis Argyriou, a musician, radio producer, critic, and all-around music lover. Alongside his Rollin Under fanzine (which later became the name of Argyriou’s record store in Thessaloniki), Lazy Dog played a pivotal role in shaping the city’s indie / post-punk scene. The label’s first release in 1987 was the debut mini-LP of Gulag (LZD 001). In 1993, Kostas Prantsidis joined the label. Kostas was a fellow companion with Babis Argyriou and the frontman of the band Κελί 13.
The label folded sometime in the mid-00s.
