Band from Burnage, Manchester, founded in the summer of 1980, initially around the core of vocalist Tony France, bassist Ged Duffy and drummer Shan Hira. Their unusual name represents a combination of Bowie's then-current Scary Monsters album and a pleasant-sounding Eurocity. Other members included Lita Hira on keyboards, Lindsay Anderson on trumpet, Karl France, John Rhodes.
