Geert Verbeke

Geert Verbeke born in Kortrijk, Flanders (Belgium) on 31 may 1948. Died on 10 january 2025. Father of four children: artist, Saskia, Merlijn & Jonas. His wife and soulmate Jenny Ovaere is a teacher for mentally handicapped children and a Joker-travel companion for small groups. Non-smoker & Free thinker. His pathway has taken various avenues: factory worker, service station attendant, parks department worker and volunteer in terminal care. International well-known and published Haiku-poet. Jazz-photographer & Himalayan singing bowls expert. He wrote four books on this subject (1 for Pilgrims Bookhouse in Nepal). He recorded 10 compact disc’s with his peculiar sensitivity for Himalayan singing bowls.
