Emerging out of the rave and free party scene in the early/mid 90s, he became a regular headliner at leading UK trance parties (Return To The Source, Otherworld) and played clubs and festivals around the UK and Europe, also performing in Japan and the US. Emerging out of the rave and free party scene in the early/mid 90s, he became a regular headliner at leading UK trance parties (Return To The Source, Otherworld) and played clubs and festivals around the UK and Europe, also performing in Japan and the US.

After early releases under other names featuring elements of techno, trance, ambient and IDM, Deviant Electronics took on the harder edged psy-trance sound heard on the his first album and earned a following within the goa / psy-trance scene, soon signing with Blue Room Released. The album that followed, showcased a very different sound - moving away from the dance floor towards a more diverse collage of programmed beats and atmospherics.

After a hiatus Deviant Electronics returned in 2013, performing live and releasing his third full-length release.
