Axon Neuron / Vagwa

Axon Neuron/Vagwa is a German Dark Ambient/Industrial band that emerged in the mid-1990s, making a name for themselves in the underground music scene. Between 1995 and 2000, the band independently released a series of albums on cassette tapes and CD-Rs, which have since become sought-after items among collectors.

In 2002, the band’s lineup expanded with then members of the Neofolk band Aurum Nostrum. In 2004, Axon Neuron/Vagwa released their first vinyl mini-album, LOHE, through Berlin’s Eternal Soul Records, followed by the double CD retrospective :Documents 1995–2005:.

Between 2007 and 2010, the band added to their discography with the Archive series, a collection of limited-edition CD-Rs, as well as several handcrafted 3-inch CD-Rs distributed via mail order.

The band concluded its live activities with two final concerts, one in Barcelona and the other aboard the iconic MS Stubnitz in Rostock, before entering a hiatus.
