American filmmaker, screenwriter, composer, musician and producer (New York City, NY, April 2, 1957 – Los Angeles, California, April 29, 2020).
He was active in the Los Angeles underground music scene in the early and mid-nineteen eighties before venturing into the movie business. His work has generally been classified as postpunk, electronic and post rock. As a moviemaker he is mostly associated with the Child's Play franchise, co-writing the original movie and directing the sequel.
