Missill

French DJ, producer, graffiti artist, graphic designer, and video creator from Carcassonne, France, born on July 4, 1980 and passed away in June 2022 due to cancer. Based in Paris, she was active from the early 2000s and developed a genre-blending style she called Electro World, mixing elements of hip-hop, grime, ragga, dancehall, breaks, and electro. Her sound was described by M8 Magazine as a “sense-shredding orgy” of global club styles. Missill released several albums and EPs, collaborated with artists such as Horace Andy, Vitalic, and Alain Bashung, and was known for her visual art background in graffiti. She also founded the feminist music collective O'Sisters and often addressed social and environmental issues in her work.
