British acid jazz / rare groove collective, follow-up of [a=Groove Nation (3)]. Formed in late 1987, they helped pioneer London's “rare groove” scene along with bands such as [a=The Brand New Heavies], [a=Young Disciples] and [a=Soul II Soul]. Their first recording was “Traffic” that appeared on the compilation “Acid Jazz And Other Illicit Grooves” in 1988. They toured Japan in 1989 under the [l=Acid Jazz] banner, featuring [a=Seal] as lead vocalist. The rhythm section of [a=Crispin Taylor], [a=Ernie McKone] and […
