German Gothic Rock group from Hamburg, active from 1987 to 1994.
Along with Girls Under Glass, the band was formed by parts of the predecessor band artist. It was founded under the name "Courage of Despair" and shortly renamed to Cancer Barrack, referencing a poem by German lyricist artist.
In 1989, artist left the band and artist started with him at Girls Under Glass. In 1991, they released their debut album, in 1994 they disbanded. In 1998, 4 years later, a "Best Of"-compilation was released.
