DJ and producer from Belfast, Northern Ireland, before he moved to London soon after his 19th birthday in 1979. He began DJ at illegal warehouse parties (Substation, Speekeezi) organised by Chris Brick and Harry Silver, who owned the Demob shop where Noel and Maurice worked.
