Plastic Fantastic were a 90s Alternative Rock/Synth-pop project from Brighton UK. Part of the Romo movement based in Camden, the group Included singer Stuart Miller, who had previously been in the Leeds based band Supercharger. Other members included John Gold (bass) brothers Conrad and Shadric Toop (both guitars plus Shadric played keyboards) and drummer David Pumphrey, who was later replaced by artist of Miranda Sex Garden.
Plastic Fantastic only released one single, '123503', which had been originally titled 'Chanel No.5' before the perfume brand threatened legal action. An album had been in the works, titled 'Autumn', as well as the follow up single 'Plastic World', but they were dropped by label Mercury before either could be released. Although never seen the light of day a number of rarities & demos have found their way online by way of their website (which is available via the wayback machine).
Upon the demise of Plastic Fantastic Stuart Miller would return to Supercharger - which in the US had to be renamed Supersonic due to the name already being used. He would also be resident DJ at London's Club Kitten between 1997-2000.
Sharpe would go on to work as a Drummer for a number of bands, including Mediæval Bæbes & The Servant.
