ASIA 2001 was created in 1995 by Martin Cooper, Tajmahal and Toirés.
They co-produced 4 albums together ( Ra - Stange world - Live - Pyskadelia)
Taj was official Dj of Trans'Pact label and the band Dj.
During the beginning of '90s, Gilbert Thévenet and his wife Thaisha were co founder of the well-known and established Trans'Pact production, where they produced and release four album's from ASIA 2001 band on Trans'Pact Productions.
Trans'Pact went on from strength to strength, and was ranked the no. 4 trance label in the world.
In the beginning of 1998, the band splitted, and Martin Cooper continue his solo career.
In 1998, when the label was at its peak, its distributor Flying Distribution went defunct and Trans'Pact, along with its two sub labels, concluded their activity.
The same year Martin cooper continue as solo project "Asia 2001" and joined Avatar Records, for distributing his catalog.
Gilbert Thévenet passed away on February 7th 2021.
Nearly all the credits for Gilbert Thevenet on Asia 2001 recordings are credited to pseudonym Martin Cooper.
Gilbert Thévenet aka Loren X played Berlin's Love Parade, Europe, Israel and Canada. While touring New York and Los Angeles, he played in top clubs like Tunnel, and shared the stage with Carl Cox, Robert Leiner, Jeff Mils, Jennifer Lopez, and others.
